17 October 2008 (for immediate release)
Leading IT recruitment and outsourcing
company, Elan Ireland, has won the
Best in
Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
Sector award at the 2008
National Recruitment Federation Recruitment
Industry Awards.
These annual awards identify and reward
recruitment excellence in Ireland. Elan's application was
nominated, shortlisted and then chosen as the winner through online
voting by the public and selection by a panel of non-recruitment
industry leaders. This year's judging panel was made up of Sean
O'Meara, Former CEO of Young Advertising; Kirsty Kirkwood, Head of
HR at State Street Ireland and Mark Fielding, CEO of the Irish
Small & Medium Enterprises Association, (ISME).
The award ceremony was held on 17 October at
the Ballsbridge Court Hotel in Dublin. Elan London and Ireland
Director, Edwin Reijntjes, is thrilled
with the success. 'Especially in these more difficult
economic times, quality of service is the big differentiator. Being
recognised as the best ICT recruitment agency proves Elan is the
market leader and will help promote the business in 2008 and
2009.'
Elan UK and Ireland Managing Director, Adam Fletcher, adds
'Elan Ireland opened in 1996, and this success builds on our 12
year excellent track record in the Irish market'.
NRF President, Frank Collins, adds 'despite
the all-consuming doom and gloom of the recession, the intense
competition and standard of submissions for the event is testament
to the strength of activity, success and motivation that continues
to prevail within this most dynamic industry. These awards are
designed as a celebration of Ireland's most innovative recruiters
working in partnership with the most progressive employers and
diverse candidates and I believe tonight's results have done just
that!'
